I live in Hawaii and always need to be careful of the sun's rays. This hat is great because I can wash it (unlike straw hats) and it shades my face well.
The hat is cute but I wish it was a little bigger. I wear an average size hat but this one is a bit snug. I was hoping to be able to fit my hair under it, but I'll be lucky to fit my head in it tight enough so the hat stays on, on a windy day. But it's a keeper because it can be squashed down and packed into any size bag. It'll go with me shopping when we travel to Panama, or for sitting on the deck here in Wisconsin.

I wanted to use this hat to protect my hair color from fading in the sun when gardening or at the beach. I wish it fit better, since the white color matched all of my bathing suits. I also would prefer that the brim be slightly wider.

This hat comes down EXTREMELY low on the face. I almost feel like I couldn't wear this anywhere except on the beach because it feels like I have very limited visibility. Also, the fabric is a little thinner than I expected. However, I'm hoping the low shape will keep most of the sun glare off my face at the ocean.
