This dress is not mauve...it is a frosty grape color. The fabric does not lay nicely and the dress seemed a whole size too big. I am returning it today.

THIS IS A GOOD DRESS FOR A MOTHER OF THE BRIDE OR MOTHER OF THE GROOM. THE COLOR WAS BEAUTIFUL AND THE BEAD WORK WAS EXCELLENT. THE PROBLEM I HAD WAS THE JACKET. THE JACKET FIT BUT IF I REACHED OUT TO GET SOMETHING IT WAS VERY VERY TIGHT ACROSS THE BACK. THE JACKET NEEDS TO BE MADE BIGGER. THE DRESS FIT PERFECTLY. I HAD TO SEND IT BACK.

The dress is great for weddings in the summer. It looks good with or without jacket. The sleeves provide coverage for in church wear but is not too warm.

Bought this dress for a mother of the bride. I love the color! I ordered a size 6, but it was very large, exchanged it for a 4 because it would be difficult to alter with the bead work, the 4 is still a little large thru the hip area and right under the arms, so hopefully it can be altered. Dress should have a slit, it is a little difficult to walk in. First dress came without any wrinkles, but the second one is pretty wrinkly, hopefully they will steam out.

After searching every bridal, dress and department store in my region, and nationally on the internet, i was thrilled to find this gorgeous dress, which is the perfect style, fit and color for me as MOB at my daughter's wedding this July. The jacket is light enough to wear on a hot July afternoon, and the dress fits well enough to remove it. I had an inexpensive alteration made to the skirt, opening it up in the back to allow easy movement for dancing. Plus I found the PERFECT shoes to go with this dress in pewter at Chadwicks.com! I even had a coupon to apply to my purchase--so I could not be more thrilled!!!

Even though very nice in color and fabric,the style when on was very matronly. Not flattering on a young 50's woman. Took all shape out of my figure. Picture should have been of an older woman modeling this dress. Excellent for uper 60's or active 70's woman

I'll be wearing this to my nephew's wedding, after having it hemmed! I'm 5'3" so need petite sizes, but usually even the petites assume a GIANT heel which I don't see wearing for the whole afternoon/evening. So, hemming is a must--better too much than too little, though. Beautiful detailing, nice fabric. I was surprised how un-wrinked it arrived since it was shipped rolled in a bag--ready to wear, except for length. The thin dress straps actually allow wearing a bra--not spaghetti straps, which was a concern. Waist is a little big, maybe, but a smaller size wouldn't fit in the bust. And this way I'll be able to eat dinner ;)
