The dress is absolutely gorgeous. The picture in the magazine does not do it justice. I plan on wearing the dress for my daughter's wedding next June. The only downside I can say is that the dress is listed as gold and it is actually more of an antique brass.
Definitely the color is NOT GOLD!

This is for a wedding. I am mother of the bride. I do not have to have it altered at all. The color is great, fits right in with the wedding colors. The only problem is I am a little taller than the normal woman and I have to get flat shoes or the dress will be too short.

Although the color of the dress I received is the same color as the dress that appears in the catalog, I thought the dress was being shown in a different color than what was available to order. The dress pictured in the catalog is actually sage/a greenish color which is what I received, but the color I thought I would receive was gold. This dress is far from being gold. I was expecting a gold dress because that is the color I ordered. The dress pictured should have been advertised as a sage dress, not gold. Had I expected the dress to be sage, I would have not ordered it in this color. I am now trying to decide whether I will keep this sage dress that I did not want, or return it, since it does not match my gold shoes and purse. I intend to wear the the shoes and purse with a different outfit since it does not match, but I feel that I have wasted my money, because I have to buy something else. I was hoping that at Chadwick's gold still means gold and I would be very happy right now. I am not happy because it appears that in your catalog, gold actually means sage.
Very Pretty and looked good on.

Pretty dress. A bit more shimmery and bronze than picture. It would have been good for warm season wedding, if altered. It was too bulky in the bodice. I ordered one size smaller than I normally wear, and with some tailoring in the bodice/waist all else would have fit fine.

I've been shopping for a mother-of-the-bride dress. This one looked beautiful on the website and had great reviews. I normally wear a size 6 and took a chance and ordered this dress in a 6 as well. Although I could take it in a little at the waist to emphasize my shape it still tapered in enough to the rosette to have a slimming appeal. The material was beautiful and the length was perfect with my 2 inch heels. My daughter added her seal of approval. I look forward to wearing it on her special day.

I really liked this dress for the Spring Dance at our church. It was very comfortable, expanded underneath the mock top. I was somewhat dissappointed that when I sat too long the dress wrinkled across the front. The material was lightweight and easy to wear.

I purchased this dress two times (different colors!)for my children's weddings and it was stunning. Just a note, I am a large breasted woman, so I had to slim down and shed some pounds to fit this dress, but it was worth it! The dress fits snugly (even as a 10P), but it is a head-turner!
