This jacket looks great in the catalog but the sizing runs quite small. I am normally a 2 or a 4 but ordered this in a 6 so I could wear thicker, warmer clothes underneath. The 6 just barely fits. The sleeves are too short. [...] and buttoning the coat can only be done if I am wearing a thin shirt on underneath (not too useful in fall living in New England). Had I tried this on in a store, I would not have made the purchase. Order a few sizes up!

The blazer is classically stylish, which is what attracted me to it, circa Jackie O style. However the upper arms are tight. I kept on going up in size thinking it was small, the arms are small! I went 4 sizes up and they were still tight. Material could have been heavier too. Either way, this blazer is good with weekend jeans and shirt combo.

I read other reviews that said this runs small, so I ordered a size larger than I normally would. It was still a little tight in the chest, was big in the waist, and was impossibly small at the hips. If you have any hips at all, the two sides of the jacket will not come together in a straight line at the hips as is necessary with the design of the jacket. Too bad, because otherwise, the jacket looks great.

I waited a long time for this jacket...I wanted outerwear for two short-sleeved sheaths (princess seaming) that I bought from Chadwick's. I finally purchased this one and am generally satisfied. I bought a size 10 (which the ratings are for)and it was too small around the back and underarms...hugging anyone was simply out of the question. So, I ordered a 12. Too big---poochy shoulders made my head look small, sleeves were too long, and it was too big in the waist area. I guess I need an 11. The material was also not what I expected...you have to look VERY close at the picture to see that it is not that felt/wool material like every other pea coat. So for my fellow hourglasses and pears (small waists, nothing else) try a different jacket. To all the apples, (skinny legs, small chest, need extra room in the waist) and bean poles, this will probably fit you.

My jacket felt a full size smaller than marked. The fabric color was pretty in the Begonia, but the texture made it a bit stiff. I sent it back.
