I ORDERED THE ROYAL BLUE ON THE SIZE I NORMALLY WEAR, BUT THE SHAPE AT THE BOTTOM IS MORE THAN AN A-LINE. IT FITS REALLY BIG AND ADDS TOO MUCH VOLUME TO THE HIPS. OTHER THAN THAT VERY CUTE!

I ordered this coat in a 10, as most of my clothes are that size. This particular jacket feels more like an 8. So it's pretty tight in the chest. I also have skinny arms (boo hoo, I know), so the arms don't fit quite right.

But the aubergine purple/red is pretty. The design is also nice.

By the time I ordered this coat, the only color left was purple, which is my favorite color, so I thought I'd try it. It's really a cute coat but the baby-doll style is too youthful for business which is what I wanted it for so I sent it back. Seemed like a good quality rain coat though. It might have looked better in black - more professional.

This coat arrived rumpled and just looked like a mess. I had last ordered the "Midlength trench" just a few weeks earlier which came in a beautiful fabric unwrinkled, only too short. I was hoping this one would be in the same great fabric, but as you can see it didnt even come in a close second in quality. I would have to have this dry cleaned to wear, I would not want to have to iron this everytime I wear it.

Decided to see what it would look like if i pulled the belt to the back and tied it.. WA-LA..It gathered it up a tad in the front, and makes it look alot slimmer in the front now..Also, I don't mind the pleats in the back.. The coat was too big for me. It overwhelmed me. There is too much detail that really doesn't not complement the coat. It has Puffy sleaves at the shoulder and a Peter Pan collar falls into an A-line at the waist. I felt like this style was for a little girl not an Adult Woman. It also The two-piece belt is attached at both sides of the waist by one button for each side. It does not go around the back of the jacket. Very uncomfortable feeling. I returned the coat.

I love this trench coat. I was a little reluctant at first to order it because I didn't think the picture did it justice but once it arrived, my only regret was that I didn't order it in every color. The pleats in the back are so flattering. They give just a little kick, making it very lady like. I love that the belt begins on the sides, secured with a large button and although normally I am not a big fan of "puffed shoulders" these actually make the coat that much more charming. Love it.

On-line and in the catalog it doesn't give enough detail about this item, I mean the jacket is very nice and sexy but when I received the item I turned it around and saw the back is bubbly which it doesn't show in the catalog the model is not modeling the back side of the jacket which she should I have a large behind so this jacket makes it look larger but I think is a very cute jacket they should give more detail to there items.

I was very excited to buy this at such a great price as I've had great luck with coats/jackets from Chadwick's. The front of the coat is very cute with the empire waist. However, on the back starting at the tailbone are pleats that add unnecessary volume and was rather unflattering on me. I am sure it would look cute on someone else but because I do not care for pleats I will return the coat.

I love this coat!! I ordered a black one and a brown one.I really like the pleats in the back, and the way the belt is held on by a big button on each side instead of going all the way around your back. When I wore it to work I got so many compliments on it. One of the the girls ask me where I bought it and how much it was but I just told her online because I could tell she liked it alot so I bought her one for christmas. She was so happy and she loves hers also. Just know that this is a light weight coat and not meant for really cold weather but for those who don't like bulky this is a perfect fit.

The coat is nice, if you are tiny in the back. I am not. I did not realize that "pleated yoke" meant it was pleated across the back. I don't like the way it looks on me when I turn to the side. I need a coat that is straight in the back. I got a really good deal and it's useless to send it back [...] I'm really disappointed. I wish the pictures had shown this part of the coat. I did purchase something from another site that showed the front and back of the item. That way, I made a better decision.

I ordered an 8 (my true size)and I feel like I could have ordered a 4 and still had extra fabric around my mid-section! It's just not a tailored look - lots of fabric pulled together by one sash, which makes it look like a maternity coat. I also did not realize that the back was pleated, which makes my back side look twice the normal size. I recommend this for women who are small-framed without many curves. And order a size smaller!

I first ordered the slate color only to find that I loved the style but the color was more blue/green than slate. So I then ordered the red and black and finally ended up just keeping the black. The red was a nice shade but just did not look good on me. I am really happy with the black one. I am 5 ft 3in so the length is a little long but the style with the back being pleated around the waist and then slight flare looks cute. Great for the SF kind of weather!

Although Chadwick's should have disclosed and shown the pleated back, as many folks do not care for pleats, I found them an unexpected but cute and pleasant surprise. I normally wouldn't wear anything pleated, as I am a BIG girl, and pleats make me look much, MUCH larger. However, the pleats in the back were actually flattering - even on a plus size figure like mine. I did NOT, however, care for the buttoned on 1/2 belt - I would have preferred a belt through belt loops - but all-in-all, this coat is FAB-BU-LOUS!

I chose black color but my daughter does not like it much. It is frock style with pleats at back, not shown in picture. It makes it look baggy. It is very light but wrinkles very much. I had to iron it hard to remove creases. It comes to the knees if you are 5ft 4" Buttons & belt give it a modern girly look.

I usually order a size 16.I ordered this jacket in a 14 and it fits very well!I do have a large bust at 40D and did not have a problem buttoning the front.There was no "stretching look" at the button area.It flatters you at the waist,which is a plus.It is light weight, so if you are looking for a "heavier" winter coat, this isn't ideal for that.But I love this jacket.5 STARS!!!

I've been wanting a black trench in this shorter length for a year or more, so when I found this on clearance, I had to get it. I'm REALLY glad I did. This coat is great!! It fits great, looks great, and I think the pleating in the back gives it a really high end look. It does kind of flare out below the waist, but that doesn't bother me at all. I think it looks cute. I'm not exactly a thin person, but I'm not very curvy, so the flare gives me some shape.

I was so excited to get this, but was disappointed. It looks too much like a big shirt vs. a jacket. I was not expecting the pleats in the back or the flap on just one shoulder. Made it look a bit weird. Also, there is too much material in the bottom half of the jacket, made it look too bulky.
Good price, great color though. Unfortunately, I will be returning it. I feel like if I kept it, I would always be looking for one that was better.

I bought 3 of these jackets! (Black, red, and chocolate) I've already gotten so many compliments! It's very trendy! There are pleats in the back which the picture doesn't show, but should, because to me this is what makes the jacket so Amazingly Trendy! My only complaint is that it wrinkles very easily and the sleeves are shorter than I'm used to. But I do have longer arms, so keep that in mind when making a decision! Overall this is a fabulous jacket!

I haven't worn this out yet so I don't know about blocking wind, or warmth - but it's cute and the material has a soft smooth feel. I'm 5'2", 160lbs - and the 12 fits nicely with room for a sweater. Everything is short on my arms - there's a button I'll move over a few inches - and the sleeve will be cuter - and fit better. It's knee length on me, unlike the picture - but then I'm short!
If I were to buy it again, I'd order a 10. BUT - Overall - I really do like the coat! Aubergine is great!

This jacket is GREAT, by far the best of the season's trenches (and I tried on many). The cut is modern and stylish, but still looks very professional and polished. This jacket is especially great with a suit or dress. It is pretty lightweight and not at all bulky -- a great jacket for fall. DO order a size up if you are busty -- I am a 34D and I could not have taken any smaller through the bust than the size 8 I ordered.

I just bought another one and I can't wait to wear it! One thing to watch out for is the buttons, they come off easily. I recommend securing them before you wear.

This trench is very cute. I ordered it in Augbergine and the color is gorgeous and really in fashion right now. It did seem to run large and there are pleats in the back that aren't shown in the picture. Overall, I liked the trench enough to return it for a smaller size. The style is very cute, love the empire waist. It runs true to size if you're only wearing a light layer under it, and I need it to go over career jackets and sweaters. The fabric feels too thin and lightweight to be water resistant but didn't test it. Will have to go back.

The coat was beautiful, but I was disappointed that there was a small tear on the front. I returned the coat so that I could get one just like it. I don't think that the picture in the catalogue does the coat justice. There is so much more detail that is missed in the picture. I love the pleats in the back!

I was very disappointed that this coat was so bulky. All the pleats in it are not flattering and it felt like I was wearing a dress when I really just wanted a coat to go over everything, with everything! I plan to send it back as it was not what I had wanted at all, TOO MUCH MATERIAL!

I was disappointed in the jacket. I ordered my size, but found it to be too large. Also did not like the back pleating of the "skirt" of the jacket. it looked like I was hiding a huge rear end under there, which I do not have.
