This trench is very cute in person. The buttons and other outside details sell you on the quality of the coat right out of the box, however i was a little disappointed at how thin the lining was. I was even more skeptical when I wore it on a particularly windy day, then i mistakenly spilled a cup of hot chocalate on the coat...dryed without a stain...I was sold! All and all if your looking for a cute trendy coat to wear out for a change this is a good buy.

I was hoping to use this as a dress coverup or a classic piece but the look was all wrong. For a taller person, this wouldn't work. The belt loops are high so using the belt gives off too short of a wasitline (almost empirish). There's too many buttons on the coat everywhere. The buttons going down the front seem so close so it appears to cluttered on top of the buttons on the pockets and on the shoulders. The contour isn't too flattering if you have a figure to accentuate. Overall the look was a little frumpy.

I would recommend this coat but I think if I had not gone one size bigger (which I do with almost all of Chadwick's clothes) it might have been too tight. Have gotten lots of compliments on it.

The cut of this jacket is sublime. If you don't have a 23 inch waist but want to achieve that hourglass figure, this jacket's for you. The lining is quite tenuous, however, the tailoring at this bargain price is worth the sacrifice. Also, for those who don't like high-waisted clothing, stay away, as the waist is slightly higher, almost umpire.

The coat is lighter weight than I thought it would be. The fit feels more like a petite fit than a regular fit (waist is shorter). Haven't worn it yet, as our weather has been too cold. Looks like it might have a tendency to wrinkle easily. It looks attractive.

NOT a coat!
By S.A.Verified Purchaser from St. Louis on 2/19/2008
Cons:
Ill fitting, Not Weather-proof, Poor quality fabrics
Describe Yourself:
Casual, Expect quality, Trendy
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The color of the trench was nice, however, the fabric was thin sheeting and extensively wrinkled with a lining that would shred at the seams in no time. The weight of the fabric could not be considered a lightweight coat, spring coat, or, certainly, not an all-weather coat. To use a very old word... chintzy.
