I ordered this in my usual size for the loose fit I prefer but without even a winter sweater underneath, the arms and body of this are much too tight--such that I'm guessing even the next size up would be too small. If you can find a size that fits, it looks like it would be very warm in the coldest weather. Or it could be great for a daughter.

I tried on quite a few quilted parkas of varying lengths this winter, and without exception they made me look like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, so I was very pleasantly surprised that on this final try, I found a flattering, lightweight, warm one. The quilting lines are close enough together that it doesn't puff out hugely, and I love having a belt to nip in the waist and give it a little shape. The only reason I am rating it 4 rather than 5 stars is, as other reviewers have noted, the shawl collar tends to be a little poofy and I have to smooth it down a bit. I really like the look of the shawl collar, though, so it is a very minor criticism and I would rate this 4-3/4 stars if I could.

Like I mentioned early, I hate the hidden hood it's to thin more appropriate for a wind breaker not a winter coat. The buttons/snaps are to far over which makes the coat a size smaller. The puffy collar stands at alert is uncomfortable and leave a gab at the neck area - one would need a warm scarf and hat with this coat. Not a coat for Chicago AKA "The Windy City".

I wasn't happy with this coat. When it first came I felt disappointed because it was too large. I bought a 10 and I'm usually a 12. I could have used the 8. Also after using it just twice the zipper completely broke off. Before that I noticed the zipper got stuck quite a few times as well. If I could return this coat - I would.
