I really liked the fabric on these, although it isn't anything like velvet. They have a sheen to them, which probably makes them unsuitable for work for a lot of people. Also, they "fit" me, but they tugged everywhere but the waist. A bigger size would have been too big. This style is best suited for lean proportions -- I kind of figured that before purchasing but wanted to try them anyway.

Order down for a snug fit - [...] the jeans have a baggier, boyfriend fit...but this garment is really very generous in cut - not anywhere near as slim as I'd hoped. I should be an 8 according to the charts [...] but I could have used a 6. With a 28-ish natural waist, plus or minus depending, these can be pulled down over my hips. With a belt, will be very casual, GRUNGE style. Not saucy and slim. For the price (discount coupon) this will be acceptable, because they are comfortable. Washed to shrink with only minor success, so I can say don't worry about that if the item fits from GO...recommended with this disclaimer.
