These are beautiful pants. They are very light weight wool, so perfect for California. They have just a touch of elastic in the waist, but it doesn't show, pucker or have the look of elastic waist pants. It just gives them a comfortable fit with an elegant line.

I have purchased these pants in the past, and this time I ordered two colors: Boysenberry Stripe and Mink, both in size 4.
Both pairs have good quality fabric. The Boysenbery Stripe, a wool blend, fit great, but the Mink, which is 100% wool, was bigger & would require alterations. The Mink pair also had a bad zipper so I am returning them.

these pants were sent back and NOT exchanged. i am a size 12 in every pair of pants i've tried on for years. i ordered a 12 and could've worn an 8! that would've been great for the ego, but...
the waist was actually elasticised! don't know why when there's a zipper.
and they were baggy! in the front and back. i have a bit of a "belly pooch" but this was just ridiculous.
too big (huge!!), elastic waist, baggy. i was fooled by the beautiful, flat-look in the picture.

Nice pants. I was afraid that being wool, they would be too heavy to wear during the spring. They are a nice weight, which has been perfect during our non-existant spring this year. They are a little short for me, but I am between regular and tall in all pants. I was surprised that there was elastic in the waist band on the navy stripe-but it was just a little, not like the side elastic slacks which don't look professional without a jacket in my office.

This "Hollywood" style item harkens back to the elegance of the 1940s, when Hepburn and others made women in slacks seem a bit daring and utterly captivating.
