I ordered three pair of these pants in total (herringbone, gray tweed, black)and am quite pleased with all of them. I have found the patterned trousers to be a significant, hefty weight while the solid black was somewhat lighter but still winter-appropriate. Only downside to the black is the immediate attraction of carpet fuzz, but that's to be expected.
Since Chadwick's/La Redoute sizing seems to run large for me, I ordered a 6 even though the chart puts my measurements at an 8...I think I could have worn either with this particular style, as the fit is generous and well cut - no bunching or pulling anywhere.
If you need something decent for cold weather, this is a garment to consider...really can work with anything from a thickly ribbed top, bulky sweater or trendy jacket.

Had already bought the funky metallic HERRINGBONE on a whim (need decent winter pants for not-so-casual events) and was really, pleasantly surprised by the cut and quality...went ahead and ordered the BLACK from the outlet and the GRAY/BLACK here on the regular site. The style is tasteful and the look is considerably more high-end than that price...s[...]...I actually prefer the textured weaves to the solid black because the heavy weight really makes the garment work, but the black is substantial enough to work with almost anything I'd think to pair with it. I'm going to order these again in a size larger to keep aside just in case I myself get larger - yep, these will prove themselves an investment in the years to come.Good with bulky tunic sweaters or tailored cardigans, boxy swing jackets, but best with a skinny turtleneck or crew. Get yourself some chunky heels of any kind to make this thoroughly modern. CHADWICKS - please bring this style back again in more patterns and varying solids...a bold HOUNDSTOOTH, MULTI-COLORED JACQUARD, a dark red...maybe even a deep purple...

I was hesitant because of the product image - seemed a bit lackluster, have had some real hit-or-miss purchases lately, but these surpassed my expectations...so much so that I immediately came back to purchase the BLK/GRY tweed here and the sold black offered on the outlet site. The fit is great - I'm a 6 by Chadwicks standards, though the chart suggests I should be an 8 since my waist is in the 28-ish inch range...but I've found 8's to be much too large in the waist so ordered a 6...
The fit is PERFECT, fitted without being too snug anywhere, the back falls well without any strange bunching, the rise is proportioned to hit right below the navel and the hips are smooth. The length is spot-on.
These honestly look much higher-end.
I bought the Metallic Herringbone and wasn't sure if that would be a little too disco for me, but WOW, these are FUN. Has a kinda 60's thing doing on, and in addition to the traditional black/white pattern there are discreet slubs of varying color as well...not so much that it looks cheesy...just subtle and funky - these are some artistic wool trousers and I'm going to get much use from them.
I hope the other two will be as pleasing.

I just love these pants. They are simply gorgeous. I did not expect the silver thread in the fabric but I really like it. I would definitely purchase more of these slacks if they came in different colors.
