The picture does not do it justice: it shows something that looks almost cottony. The shirt actually possesses a nice, light-to-medium weight fabric with a soothing velvety texture. I got one in every color except the multi. They are fabulous for fall weather. The look is classic, the fabric is high-quality, and the fit is flattering. I work with children and they love to come up and touch my sleeve -- "It's so soft!" they say. Goes well over skirts or jeans. If there were more colors, I'd buy more.

I purchased this in two colors because it was such a good price. This is a very versatile top. It can be worn as shown or with the color folded down (folds perfectly to give a lapel) and that looks really nice too. I ordered one size larger than I normally would based on the reviews. I probably could have ordered my size and it would have been a little more form fitting, but it's great as is. The sleeves were just a little long in the size I got, but that's okay. It wasn't a deal breaker for me. Quality was very good. Could be worn with a skirt or equally with jeans. For the price, you won't be disappointed.

I purchased two in a size 12 (my regular size) and one in a size 14 and was shocked that the 14 fit much more comfortable than my regular size. I guess I'd recommend purchasing a size up for more comfort. Though the size 12 fit, it's a little snug in the breast area for me so I'm giving them to a petite friend and will replace them with a size 14. Overall, this is a nice top - if you get the right size. I hope this was helpful.
