The armholes feel a little on the large side. I ordered a size 10, but I'm afraid if I got the 8 the bust would be too tight. It also has the drawstring tie in the front that brings everything towards the front of the body, but I wouldn't call it waist defining. It's an empire style. If you've worn maternity clothes in the past, or have a larger tummy, you might want to skip this one. It's OK and I'm going to keep it, but then I was never pregnant. Other than the armholes, the fit seems to be on the smaller size. It will be good with capris, longer shorts, or jeans. In the Florida heat, it will probably feel comfortable outside!

No, I would not recommend this to a friend
The fabric was very thin and gaped open at the neckline. I was very disappointed in the inferior quality of the fabric.
