This dress fits in a very flattering way. I received several compliments when I wore it. I bought a size up because I was worried about the bust fitting (a lot of these wrap type dresses with the very defined waists end up being too small in the bust), but it was perfect. The arm holes are also generous in size.
My only concern is future possible shrinkage on this dress. I don't plan to put this in the dryer, but I think it's 100% cotton, and I'm scared of losing the perfectly cut for me proportions.

The bodice is too big in proportion to the rest of the dress. The neckline just gaps open. The surplice could either be attached or an insert put in, so the dress would be more modest. I really liked the pattern and the color - it's the reason I bought the dress.

Great for the person with a small waist. The top could use a small snap but stays in place. The side zipper is very cheap and keeps hanging up.

The catalog carried this dress last year and at that time I thought the price was too high. This year, I purchased the dress on sale and a coupon. The dress is made of cotton with a cotton lining which is comfortable for hot days. The dress was easy to iron and did not wrinkle too much through out the day. In the question you asked about the fit, I put small in waist,as it doesn't run true to size, but had no other choice. I had read the reviews from others and did go up one size and it did fit well except in the shoulders. I usually have that problem, so that is an easy fix for me to sew them in a little.

The front is not tacked in any way. Has a tendency to flop open. I have to wear a little camise under it. The zipper is plastic, located in the back and somewhat awkward to get up and down. Side zip would have been much better.
