I previously purchased this blazer in grey and in cinnamon. I love them and wear them often. I decided to purchase the blazer in black and in brown herringbone. The black is perfect. My only complaint is that the brown herringbone has gold threads in it, which will limit its wearability. However, these are great blazers!

I now have three of these jackets in basic colors (black, brown, navy) and would have more if they were available in my size. Very fine, lightweight wool which is versatile enough for almost any season. I am perplexed about another review I read about these jackets that said they were of poor quality - all I can imagine is that the customer didn't take the time to steam out the wrinkles resulting from packing and shipping. I LOVE these classic jackets!

According to pictures in books, I thought the material of this jacket was heavier. The material is very light weight. I chose my regular size and this jacket was smaller than jackets I have bought in my size. It fit snug around the chest and arms. What I received looked and felt thin and cheap--it feels and looks like polyester, not wool. It arrived heavily wrinkled from packing/shipping and the wrinkles seem to be permanent--it looks like it was slept it. I bought this same blazer several years ago in black. Quality, fit, value was excellent. I ordered this time to get it in a second color, but it is nothing like my other JG Hook blazer. I'm sending it back today.

I have had a dozen of these jackets over the years. They are wonderful basic pieces to build a wardrobe around. I am able to get the suit look when I buy the matching pants and skirts or the separates look when I get coordinating items. Very versatile jacket. It looks good with jeans too, although I don't usually wear them that way.
