I got this dress in the brown, and it will be a great transitional dress for our hot fall season! The empire styling is very flattering, and the fabric is cool and comfortable. This dress is very pretty but when I put it on, I felt that the neckline was too large and low for wear to work. I'm planning on wearing a sweater over it to cover some of the bare skin to make it work better. Also there is a slight paunchiness in the front which makes me look fatter than I'd like. once again, the sweater kind of fixes the problem by flattening it out a bit. I'm just a little disappointed because I thought I could use this in warmer weather, but now I'll be too hot with the sweater over it to wear it when it's warmer. I don't see myself wearing this without a sweater over it.

I was really disappointed in the dress, would have returned it but it is such a hassle and the expense of shipping make it not worth while. I have purchased quite a bit of items over the years from Chadwick's and this is by far the worst. This dress was designed for those who are a size 4 with no bust. I am a pretty consistent 10-12 with a moderate bust and it just looks horrible. It doesn't hang well because the material is so cheap. I got the black one because i knew the design wouldn't work with my figure and it still didn't work. It looks way cuter on print than in real life, don't get sucked in!

I understand now why some other reviewers said it fits like a maternity dress. Anyone who is skinny will look frumpy in this and anyone wwith a tummy (like me) will look pregnant! I agree with Kris--very unflattering fit. Huge in the waist, and funny fit in the bust. Large pleating that did not fit well. Too bad, it looked cute in the pic but it is going back.

I liked the color and pattern of the dress. The hips were a little tight, and it was a little long on me but other then that i liked the dress a lot.
