I order the same size in everything that I buy from Chadwicks. However, these dresses were big; I exchanged them for one size down, and then had the waist and body tailored a bit. However, they are fully lined, have beautiful color, and are wonderfully made. Other than the slightly "big fit," I recommend them. I love mine.

I love sheath dresses because they are easy and comfortable - but not this one. It reminded me of something my mom would wear. It was very boxy and nonflattering. It would be OK if the straps were altered, the hem taken up and the waist nipped in, but by the time you tailored it you could have bougth another dress.

i just love this dress!! A while back I ordered another black sheath dress..it always seemed too small in the hips. I ordered a size 10, knowing that JG Hook does run a little big in the hip area. The dress fits quite nicely, a little big in the bust area, but not bothersome. I will love this dress for work, dinners out and church. I might even use it for a cocktail party with some sparklie jewelry and sexy sandals. All in all a nice dress for every event.

Good basic dress, I have it in multiple colors. Wear it with a tailored jacket for the best affect if your arms aren't as toned as you'd like and you draw attention away from the waist.
