I really like the dress a lot, but because of previous reviewers' comments, I bought a size larger than what I normally wear. The bust was just a little too big and the back of the dress kept creeping down. I would suggest buying the size you normally wear.
Also, it you have much cleavage at all, the dress will definitely show it off. At the wedding I was attending while wearing it, one guest kept calling me "Miss America!" If you aren't comfortable with that, buy a different dress!

I love, love, LOVE this dress but unfortunately, I have to return it because at my age (45) it just seemed a little too ruffle-y and a little too formal for me as well. I was hoping to wear it to work with a little sweater but because of the way it is made, it really seems to be a little more dressy or cocktail-like. The ruffles are not subtle - a little too prevalent for my taste. It's made beautifully, though, great details and lining. My niece wanted me to twirl in it for her and when I did, I felt like a square dancer. I wish I didn't have to send it back but I know I'll feel awkward in it. :(

I purchased this dress in green for a wedding in Mexico which I am going to be the Maid of Honor. I probably will not wear it for the actual wedding but I will wear it down there for dinner, etc. I do not think the linen material is dressy enough to be in the bridal party but would be perfect if I were just a guest at the wedding. I think the material wrinkles a little easily but that is to be expected with linen, I just hung it up and most of the wrinkles have fallen out since it was shipped. I think the dress does run a bit small, I ordered a size bigger and it fits perfectly. Overall, the dress was a steal! Highly recommended, especialy for the sale price!

This dress was made with nice material. The color was as expected,but the fit is hard to get right. I ordered two sizes up and it was still too small around the back.The bodice is fitted and I usually have trouble with this because I'm petite, but have a wider rib cage. I think small boned women would fit nicely in this. It is a pretty dress with a full feminine skirt, just not for my body type.

I didn't care for this dress at all. It is a linen blend fabric and that combined with the lining make it a fairly heavy dress. The problem I had with it is the straps that virtually hold the whole dress up are waaay too thin to hold up the weight of the dress. I tried the dress on and the straps were digging into my neck and chest. Also, the blue color looked kind of worn and faded to me, may be because of the linen content though.

After reading the other comments I decided to go a size up from what I normally wear so I ordered a 10 in 2 different colors. Well, everything was fine until I tried to zip up although I was able to zip all the way the fit was very snug in my back area. I would not have looked at this dress twice in the Chadwick's catalog (in pink & on a flat-chested model), but I actually saw it in a magazine (in green & on an average-sized girl) and loved it. I ordered this dress in two colors, pink and blue, to match sweaters I already owned. I have reached the "age" where I must cover-up. I ordered them a size larger than usual, and they still are too small. I sew tho and have rigged up a way to make them fit. They are very flattering and fun, and with my sweaters over them no one will ever know that they don't really fit. (I hate to return things and refuse to buy still another size!) This dress has a weightyness to it that makes hang perfectly on windy days. The bottom has just enough bounce and the halter top has just enough ruffles to make it "flirty", but not overly sexy. It's a fun dress to wear. You do have to iron it--the linen fabric does wrinkle. But, the natural fibers make it cool and comfortable to wear. Looks great as is or with a shrug sweater for cooler afternoons or evenings.

This dress is cute, sexy, and fresh for Spring!
However, because it contains linen, it is very hard to keep wrinkle free. I recommend using heavy spray starch when ironing.
Otherwise, it is a kick! I've recieved lots of compliments!
