Very flattering fit, but the sizes at Chadwick's seem to be all running much smaller then at "box stores" so I ordered 2 sizes bigger then I normally do and it "fits like a glove"! The side zipper is difficult to zip so I need my hubby to do the honors.

When I received the dress, one button didn't have the color on it. Thought I'd have to return dress, but extra button came with it and I sewed new button on. Sad that I had to do that though.

I agree with the review that said the top fit like a Madonna costume! The darts are very pointy and look funny. But I loved the dress so much that I took it to a tailor and had them sew the darts down. The purple color is beautiful and the matching buttons on the front really add a lot to this dress. I ordered a size larger than usual and it fit perfectly; the dress runs small.

This dress is really cute in the picture. It runs really really small in the bust!!!! I have a small bust and it was really really tight. I ordered two sun dresses the same size 12. I swear that this style the top must have been a size 8. The other dress which was more fitting fit perfect. IT is NOT true to size!! I ordered it again because I had bought a little sweater jacket to match it. I ordered a 14. I'll let you know if it fits. I'll probably have to sew it up on the sides. [...]The other 12 fit perfect!

The design can be classic while still contemporary. The quality of the fabric is good. The dress is lined which is helpful to minimizing wrinkles. Can be worn to the office under a blazer. The length is modest. But, the cut of the dress (petite)fits more like juniors than petite. I would buy it 2 sizes larger. I returned mine for an exchange.

The material was not what I was expecting, the dress is cute and fashionable. I was told that if items that I purchased from Chadwicks wasn't a Chadwicks brand you are taking a risk on quality, and it turns out they were right. I would only recommend my friend paying at the most $15 for this dress.

I loved the design of this dress especially the button details on the bodice, but the bust darts were too long or something & made the bust look pointy like a Madonna cone bra! I re-ordered in hopes that I just got a bad one & this problem doesn't hold true for the entire run of the dress. This is very unusual for a Chadwick's product. I've never been displeased with my purchases before.

The dresses were a birthday gift for my daughter. She opened the box before her party saw the dresses and immediately tried one on, the fit was perfect. She hung the one she had planned to wear back in the closet, ironed the one she had just gotten and wore it to her party. It doesn't get any better than that for a mother.She got compliments all evening and her friends asked me where I got them, they could not believe they were mail order.

This dress is cute in style but does run a size small. I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size 10 instead of my usual size 8. It fit ok but a little snug, the reason i will return it is that its not as long as described. It was a couple of inches above my knee.

I tried it on and thought it looked great. I always wash new clothing before wearing it. When I washed it per the instructions three of the six plastic button covers came off. So, I could not wear it for the occasion for which I bought it and I cannot return it since it has been washed.

The buttons on the front of this dress are round colored pieces of plastic adhered to what is probably a plastic button painted silver. One of the blue plastic pieces had already come off when the dress arrived. Three more came off when I washed the dress (there are only six buttons). Luckily I was able to glue them back on with rubber cement. I was surprised on how bright the yellow was in this dress. Almost a neon yellow.

Was disappointed in fit of bust. The darts were too high, therefore making the fit directly over the bust "pointy" and sticking out. Also, the buttons appear to have button holes, but don't so I don't know why the extra stitching is included. Mine arrived with most of the colored portion of the button having come unglued and were just laying loose in the bag. Side zipper was very difficult to zip. It kept grabbing other fabric. I ended up sending it back.

Although the design is attractive, several things make this dress less desirable. The straps would have to be altered. The fit is at least one size smaller. The fabric is flimzy (feels less that 5 oz even with the lining and packing cardboard). Too bad; the color is perfect.
