I was very happy to find a mother of the Bride dress that suits my age (45) and didn't look like it was designed for somebody in their 60's. Being 5'8" the length was right on. I am a bit concerned that it may wrinkle easily, but after the pictures, I don't care.
An special occasions dress, which is hard to find any where else, except at Chadwick's.
Basically - I bought this dress hoping it would match in color to the Apple red at a national retailer because I was not happy with their choices for bridesmaid's dresses. To my excitement, it not only matched in color (so don't be fooled by the picture it turned out to be a much richer red than the photo shows), but it also was much more flattering on my body type than any of the dresses at the retailer. Since the bride is allowing her bridesmaids to choose their own dress in the red color, the decision to keep this dress and wear it not only for this wedding but also for possible future parties was easy. So simple length alterations will make this the perfect dress for my spcial occasions!
Too snug in bust and arms. Had to return for that reason.
I bought the dress to wear to my daughters wedding. Loved it immediately! The fit was perfect and the color was exactly how it was displayed. I did wear it to the wedding and it was not only attractive but extremely comfortable to have on, even though it was 100 degrees. I got a lot of compliments about it. It has to be one of the Best purchases I have ever made.
I have returned the dress. The top fit very well, but the waist and hips had so much extra material. Unfortunately, I don't think a change in size would help resolve this.
I bought the dress to wear to my daughters wedding. I was very pleased when I first saw it. Haven't worn it yet but will let you know how it holds up in 100 plus weather.
The blush color is slightly warmer than what appears on the web or in the catalogue. I wouldn't describe it as "peach" as others have, but it is a warm pink, not a cool pink.
It's a flattering cut, except the neckline seems a bit high; might have been more flattering if it was a scoop neck vs. the slight v-neck.
I purchased a size six(6) petite. It fit in the hips, but then was too large on top. I'm a 6 on the bottom and 4 on the top and expect to have to shorten or alter the top -- so the fit was normal, but required too much tailoring for the overall cost of the dress. It was very long -- if you're under 5'3" it will be too long even with heels, and if you're in the 5'4" - 5'5" range, you'll need high heels.
This dress was pretty but the darts on the waist puckered so did not look good. It was also too long even though I am 5'7" and wear heels.
So I returned it.
Ordered the dress to wear to my son's wedding this summer. It is exactly what I had hoped it would be and I can't wait to wear it!
I bought the dress in ivory and the color is perfect; not too creamy, not too pale. My only criticism would be the length. Way too long, even with heels. I plan to take mine to a tailor for hemming; otherwise, I love it! I am short-waisted and curvy in the chest and rear, so the empire waist on this dress and the drape of the material are very flattering. The overall design plays up my positive features(like really tiny waist) and downplays the exaggerated ones (round hips & rear). I feel like a size 4 in this, but I wear a 10!
