Really nice dress. I was afraid that I would have to have it pressed because it came in a bag crammed in my mailbox. I could not believe it does not wrinkle at all. This was the first of two dresses I picked out and ordered from Chadwick's for my daughter's wedding. I absolutely love it. It's comfortable, doesn't need any alterations, and is perfect for a fall Maine wedding....but my husband and daughter like the other dress better (which is too long and needs to be hemmed). What to do? Keep them both? I can always wear it to another wedding or on a cruise...hmmm...that's a thought! I would recommend this dress highly. I love the assymetry of the beaded overlay. The antique gold bugle beads give this a vintage quality. It was much too long, however, even if I'd wanted floor length (the picture on the model looked shorter), so I had it shortened to tea length. I also had the ribbons that hold it on a hanger cut out, so that needed to be sewn up. They are right on the seam of the neckline; no one could wear it that way without them showing! There were also several lines of beads coming off [...]. It seemed easier to sew them on than return the dress, and I didn't know that I wouldn't have the same problem if I exchanged it. So, I will enjoy this dress on my special occasion, but it cost me quite a bit more than I thought.

I plan to wear this dress to a formal dinner in the fall. It will be perfect for this occasion. I have bought other formal, evening dresses from Chadwick's to wear to these dinners (we attend 4 or 5 a year) and I usually get compliments on my Chadwick dresses. Being an over 60 shopper, I look for things with elbow, 3/4 or long sleeves. I also look for things that disguise or hide that over 60 tummy. I am to the point where I need Chadwick's to stock evening dresses with these 2 criteria that are NOT pink, blue, pale green, black, ivory or beige. How about turquoise, orange, red, rust or copper, and kelly green?
