Wore it to my son's wedding. I got a whistle walking down the isle!!! However, my shoulders are not squared, so the straps kept falling down. I am petite in height so I needed to hem it. The only thing that was uncomfortable was the beads near the underarm area were chafing by the end of the night. The day was warm so I didn't even wear the jacket. No need to dryclean, I hand washed it in woolite, hung to dry and ironed it. It came out beautiful.

I bought this dress for my nephew's wedding in September, my daughter's getting married is next May and she thinks it will be perfect for her wedding as well. I am not as slim as I once was, but the lines on this dress create a slim illusion. I am very happy with it!

The dress is beautiful but It was not comfortable. It was tight at the waist and large at the top of the dress at the bust line.
I shop catalogs frequently and wear a standard size
If I had time for alterations i would have kept the dress.

I ordered two dresses for my son's wedding, to compare color and style. I am sending this one back, simply because the other one is a better color for me, fits me better, and the bride and bridesmaids preferred it over this one. (As for fit--I prefer a longer waist. The bodice piece came right to my waist and made me look a little plump. I prefer a top that comes a little below the waist.) But I felt this dress was of good quality, nicely lined, classic styling. I would recommend it for a special occasion.

I ordered the dress in a size 14 and it was a little tight through the hip area - however, the bust was HUGE! There was no way a 16 would have worked because the bustline would have only been worse. The jacket fit fine which was why the bust being so large made even less sense. I would recommend this dress to anyone if they were very hefty in the bustlinne area.
