For the price I got the most beautiful coat in the world! It is so very nice and I had ordered the loden green but the size 8 was too large. So, I had sent back but the color was fine, and ordered a size 6 in the old navy color. I was at first very scared to think what is the old navy color but it is actually very nice. It is a navy but very slighty not as dar which I like as navy looks like black and this old navy is true old navy love it!! I love this coat and wow the price I got it for unbelievable!!!!!!!!!

Most of my clothes are size 10, (sometimes 12, depending on the style.) I have found that several of Chadwick's items run large, so I opted for the size 10. It was a great looking coat, but HUGE! I returned it and ordered a size 8 which fits much better and still gives a little room for sweaters. The coat looks great and is very flattering.

I wear a size 8 or 10 so I took the 10 thinking it might run small. It fits perfect around the hips but is a bit large through the chest and shoulder area. I read all of the feedback about this item from the site before purchsing because you can tell alot about that item by what others write. I chose to buy a size bigger because most of the feedback was that it felt too small and that they had to send it back for a bigger size. I am a petite size 8, I ordered a 10...its a little to big but I am keeping it. I can wear two layers under it without issue. I like the style and the fit overall. The sleeves are a little to long for me. I guess this coat is made for a taller person. I found the fabric(wool/nylon mix), to be a little too itchy for my sensitive skin. I'll have to wear a scarf around my neck so that I don't feel the itch. Overall, I do like the coat. It's well made and it's very flattering. I would recommend it.

I do love this pea coat. It looks great with jeans and work clothes. The quality seems good but it's really too soon to tell how it will hold up. However I know I have to order a larger size than I'd buy in a store in order to get the appropriate fit through the middle and long enough sleeves, which means that your products generally do not run true to size. That's why I indicated above that it feels too small and sleeves are too short.

I ordered this based on all the postive comments. However, it was just not for me. I ordered the blue plaid-- maybe it was the plaid. Coat felt bulky, uncomfortable, not classic looking, I felt really fat in it. Chadwicks coats are a hit or miss with me. The price was certainly cheap since it was on sale / coupons but would rather pay more for something that I really like and would get my monies worth. I returned it.

The need for a pea coat was crying out of my closet. I found it at a good price. After debating yes or no, I ordered. I opened the package and it was wrinkle at one part of the coat. I've tried a few techniques to remove them and I am pleased.YIPEE. It is a little scratchy in the sleeves. Only if you wear short sleeves. Love the look, love the feel, great for a driving coat.

Although I haven't tested it in our cold Michigan winter, yet, fall has been cold and the jacket was very warm walking to school to pick up my son. I really like this coat, but it came folded in a plastic bag. So there are wrinkles in the coat, especially on the sleeves, that I can't get out because I can't iron it. Dry clean only! It is a lightweight material which I didn't expect, but I do like. Wish it had a button at the top of the lapel so I could button up to the neck in the wind.

I was sort of leary of paying the price, only because I had saw Peacoats in retail stores for $30 - $40 dollars. I was hoping for a softer, more luxurious-feeling fabric but the styling and color are classic. Maybe after I wear it a few times it will soften up a bit; it came folded up afterall. The sizes run a little big/boxy so if you want a tailored-to-your-shape look, get the smaller size. It's a great look for the price, a real find for the bargain shoppers.

I thought this was a weird fabric not exactly wool like peacoats need to be for cold temperature. Also it felt baggy around the armpit area. I wouldn't recommend this coat. I love other things i've found at Chadwicks but this isn't one of them.

I bought a size 8 in the color loden. The double-breasted pea coat was a good fit, not bulky and I did not look shapeless. My backside is not flat and the coat fitted in the back. The sleeves could have been about 1/2-1 inch longer. I would definitely get another one.

This is a nice-looking pea coat. The navy wool is substantial, and a nice clear navy, not muddy. I ended up returning it, even though it had a lot of pluses, because for me, the sleeves were over an inch too long, the shoulders had pads that made them stick out too far on me, and the bust was a little too tight. I am 5' 7", and my arms are about average for my height. I do have somewhat narrow shoulders and am on the busty side, so someone without these characteristics might really like the coat. A big plus is that there is some shape to it, that is it tapers to a bit of a waistline much more than most pea coats. This gives a really nice silhouette from all angles and almost convinced me to keep it. As far as Chadwick's products go, it was pretty decent quality, though the buttons look a little cheap and plastic-y. It runs true to size, whereas many Chadwick's items run small. If I didn't have the specific fit challenges I mention, it would be really cute to throw on with jeans as a casual coat.

When I put on this coat, despite the fact that I went up one size, I felt as though I could barely move my arms. Perhaps it's because I had a sweater on, but don't you usually wear a sweater during the time of year you'd wear a wool pea coat?

I was worried the coat wouldn't fit properly in the body or that the sleeves would be too long. It's perfect all around. I order my actual size, and it fit perfectly! It is warm, yet lightweight. The wool is soft and not hard and stiff. The color is what I expected, as well.

The perfect coat to wear out and about with jeans and slacks. Casual and classic, not too heavy and bulky, yet warm enough to run from car to store. I wouldn't wear this to a football game in the snow, but it's just right to throw on when running errands in the cold weather.

I have two of these- Dijon and Chocolate. They are perfect, and were such a steal! The wool is beautiful and they aren't cheaply made. Just a warning, I'm a true 18 and had to get a 16 in this coat for a more flattering fit. Since I ordered both sizes, I'll be exchanging for 2 more colors! That's how great this classic peacoat is!
