This is an absolutely beautiful outfit. I am a small framed 5'6" 135lbs size 6 and it fit me perfectly. The jacket could be a bit longer but I can't count on 2 hands the number of compliments I've received wearing this today. I'm glad I purchased both colors, I just KNEW it would look fabulous on. (Sorry if I sound conceited) :) Make note that there is no stretch/elastic in the waistband so be realistic when ordering your size because after eating a hearty meal you may have "issues". :)

The belt is placed to high for someone that is busty. You can't lower the belt because of the pockets. I would have to remove the belt if I were to keep the outfit, the belt is what gives the safari look. The waistband is small. I feel frumpy in the ensemble. It needs something to spoof it up.

I just love JG Hook linens...they can be worn for any occasions. The only furstration is wrinkling, but an iron cures the problem. They also seem to run a bit small, but maybe that is just me! Can beat the colors and styles. So, then maybe I just keep ordering a bigger size?

I love the versatility. The long sleeves in the summer is great for all day air-conditioned environments but one can easily add a shell beneath the shirt-jacket so that it can be removed if you become too warm such as when you go outside when you leave the office for the day.

I wore the J. G. Hook Linen Safari Skirt Suit today at work for the first time and I have garnered more compliments for this suit than any other. Women and men on the street complimented my suit and the plum color. The linen feels soft and comfortable, not stiff like some of my other linen wear. I really wanted this suit to work for a summer wedding I will be attending. First the color is not good. But the worst part was the missing belt loop on one side and another belt loop was torn loose. If this would not have been damaged(and fit properly)since I liked the suit style so much I probably would have kept it and worn the wierd color anyway.

I liked the design as shown in the photo, but I am sorry to say that I am returning it. The jacket was too long in the sleeves by a lot,too tight around the middle and the skirt was very, very long. My dressmaker told me that there was too much work needed to make it worthwhile. I feel bad since I was looking forward to this new addition to my wardrobe.

Both the top and bottom were smaller than expected and therefore, I should have ordered 1 size larger. If you buy the Green color, plan to feel like you just stepped out of the Army in the 1940's...it's a bit much, so I would advise anyone to buy the plum color instead. Overall, it's well-made and an excellent suit for the office.
I would purchase this item again.

Classic yet up-to-date skirt suit. Flattering shape, length, and colors. (I bought the suit in both colors, first the green then the plum. Both are wonderful!) I live in Florida -- which is very casual in terms of clothing -- but am a professional, which requires a nod to more formal wear. This is the perfect outfit for me. Unfortunately, I won't be able to wear it year-round because of heat, but people in other parts of the country probably could. Buy it! Buy both colors. You won't regret it!
