I've needed a quick-drying nylon shorts for boat-wear between scuba dives. All I could find were drawstring or elasiticised waist items that were very unflattering. It's a good coverup over your swim suit but don't advise wearing it alone. The underwear attached part is very thin and is not a complete underwear. There's a large hole in front of the underwear part where the velcro fly is (and why there is a fly opening for a woman's garment, I don't know....) Material is very lightweight and dries quickly.

I would've liked these shorts if they had been true to size. They fit by far smaller than what the size is supposed to be. The opening is velcro and not very secure. This has been one of my least favorite items from Chadwicks and I really don't have that many.

The shorts pull in the back below the waist and that makes them bunch up. Maybe order one size up. The draw string is only in two holes in the front, not all the way around the waist so you can't adjust the waist. I suppose the string is for looks?

The swimsuit as a whole (drawstring shorts and tankini top) look fantastic together, and I was able to swim out in the ocean and jump in the waves without feeling like the thing was going to fall off. That is a problem I have with most bathing suits. I am glad I was able to move in the water without pulling up straps and strings all the time. Very comfortable and figure-flattering. Shorts were great for wearing while walking along the strip as well.
