This dress is totally cute but has enough of a formal air that I could see being able to wear it to a semi-formal summer wedding or a cocktail party. It's a perfect date dress for going out to a nice dinner and a little dancing afterwards. It's nice and light and airy-very comfortable on some of these hot, muggy Michigan evenings.

The straps were set closer than appears on model, which make the tiny flutter sleeves on the straps look funny. I had to pull the straps farther apart onto my shoulders to improve the style. However, I was also able to tuck the flutters under the straps for a different look and not have to position the straps in an almost-off-the-shoulder look.

There was nothing that I much liked about the dress. It is definitely not for the curvy or big busted woman. The sizing is really off - it was quite tight; seriously think about ordering one or two sizes larger than your size if you are interested in this dress. I thought it would be a fun, flirty dress. It was neither and I returned it immediately.

Unfortunately I had to return the dress, along with another sundress purchased at the same time, due to being too small. I normally wear a Size 2 Petite and have purchased many other items from Chadwick's in that size that were fine. These two dresses, however, were very snug in trying to close the back zipper (in this case, and front buttons in the other dress) and was never able to completely close them. I finally gave up and packaged them back up to return. I hated that, as I was really looking forward to wearing them.

This dress is comfortable without being baggy or frumpy, flirty without being tarty. I took it on a business trip with me - it hangs up like a dream, with nary a wrinkle. It wears great in warm weather, although because of the synthetic material probably won't work when it's 90 degrees and above.

When I tried to try this dress on, I found the side zipper was unable to be used, as it got caught in the fabric every time I tried to use it! So I was unable to try the dress on at all. However, The fabric was a rather heavy polyester, in an unbecoming shade of large red print, and there was a weird kind of gathered cummerbund that didn't really show up in the catalog picture, that would have made all but a waif-thin person look quite a bit larger around the waist.
