I love the design of this dress and cannot wait to wear it. But note that if you are very big busted, you may need a larger size. I am not a large person, but am a little "chesty" for my size. I am having to return the dress for a larger size and I hope I can wear that one.

This is a great formal dress for petites. It's comfortable, a wonderful change from the usual black, and the length is great with 3" heels. But, I did need to go to a size 4 when I usually wear a 6 because the top was too big.

I love this dress and will be wearing for my sister's wedding as matron of honor. It's not easy for me to find dresses that fit me well. I'm 4'11", short-waisted, quite petite, but larger in the bust. I ordered a size 6P and brought it to my seamstress. Aside from the length and some slight taking in of the bodice and the one shoulder strap, it fit beautifully and was very flattering. I'm so pleased that finding a dress for this special occasion was stress-free!

So many of the clothes I have ordered from you simply don't fit properly. They always seem too small in the bust, and large in the waist.

Had to return this dress because it was too long, even though I bought it in a petite (I am 5'2") and I couldn't get it zipped over my bust (C cup size). Otherwise, it was a nice dress. Thought about buying a bigger size, but then it would be even longer and too big elsewhere.

This is a very nice gown for the money -- especially because it actually is NOT TOO long (with heels) for a petite size. It was a little tight around bust but that is a problem I can have. Ordered 14P so I am not real tiny and the design is great.

Eye-stopping gown! Just the perfect outfit for my upcoming event. Looks like a red carpet style but very comfortable to wear and doesn't dampen your budget.

I would like to rate this dress higher than 2 stars. The style is fabulous - it is very flattering and looks great on. If you are short, buy petite. It also runs a *little* large. (I started with 8P and needed to re-order a 6P)
I am a professional classical musician and play a lot of concerto-type solos. I purchased this dress to wear for a recent performance. Except for trying the dress on (to make sure it fit properly - and it did), I had not worn the dress. 30 minutes before I was to go on stage to perform, I put the dress on and half-way up the back the ZIPPER BROKE! Needless to say, panic ensued and I had to be safety pinned into the dress (with about 6 safety pins)
I plan on keeping the dress and having the zipper replaced because I got many, many compliments about how fabulous the dress looked on stage.
For style, I highly recommend. But buyer beware...double check that zipper before your big event!

This dress really shows off your neck, shoulders and face in an elegant, classy way! Do note that the pleated bodice is SNUG and it has to be that way! It really shows off your curves, also, in a quiet, feminine way. If they had another color, other than black, I would buy it also. You rarely see evening dresses like this in petite sizing.

I have been looking for months for a dress for our daughter's wedding, and I loved the way this one looked on. I couldn't find a one-shoulder gown in any of the bridal shops, so you a step ahead of them. Her colors are black and white, so this was perfect!

I purchased this in the color red-- which is absolutely breath taking. I wore it to a wedding and receiced too many compliments to count. The dress is classic, elegant and very confortable.
I have since ordered it in Black.Chadwicks should have more dresses of this classic design or just produce this dress in more colors.

I love the design , only the bra contour in the front of the chest is too hard and stuck out . It make my chest looked funny and not comfortable at all .

I had stopped ordering from Chadwicks because the quality and sizing seemed to have gone downhill in the past few years. I needed a gown for a formal wedding in May, saw this one in the catalog, read the reviews, decided to order, and love the dress. It is a little big but well worth having it altered to fit ones own body type. Even though I haven't worn it yet, it feels very comfortable. I really like the tone of the red and so does my husband..he is also a fan of this gown.

Unfortunately I am going to return this. Not a good dress for someone well endowed. It is a very beautiful dress and I would have loved it if the top came up a little higher.
