I ordered this dress in plum and the color is exactly what it looked like on the website. The sizing is perfect, too. The side seam is just a little crooked where the zipper is because of the bias but, other than that, the dress is BEAUTIFUL and I plan on wearing it on my son's wedding!

I love the dress and the color turned out to be just as pictured. The sizing was all wrong, however. I took my measurements, used the size chart and ordered accordingly. The dress turned out to be at least one size, maybe two sizes too big. Instead of sending it back, I'm having a seamstress alter it.

This dress fits so perfectly, it could have been couture-made specifically for me. I can't wait to wear this (in red) with gold jewelry and gold strappy high heels. It is simply elegant, and is appropriate for semi-formal/formal day or evening special events. In the very near future, I plan to wear this to the opera and to an evening wedding. I am very impressed with the quality of this dress!

I have this dress in size 6P in a periwinkle blue color that is no longer available. I am 5 feet tall, with a disproportionately large bust but otherwise rather petite. In general this dress is very flattering, and I was pleased that I didn't have to have it shortened. The neckline is fairly low cut, which is not unexpected for an evening gown. My biggest gripe is that my bra straps show just above my armpits, and I have to keep pushing them in and tugging the dress over them, even though the dress has lingerie straps at the shoulders. Also, a few snags or pills have developed on the material, and I've only worn the dress four times.

I bought a petite and it was perfect in length. I am a size 10, but was worried it would be tight so I ordered a 12, it was too big, a 10 would have been perfect....the one thing weird was that on one side, and on one side only the fabric had a piece added to it so it stuck out on one side more than the other due to the extra fabric. I couldn't figure that one out, it was like they ran out of fabric on one side so they added a piece. There is a side zipper and it did pucker a little bit, but not bad. Depends on how picky you are. The v neck is deep so I was going to have to tack it together to secure the coverage. I wanted to wear it to a summer wedding for my daughter. It would also be good for a cruise, Las Vegas trip, or an evening at the theater in the summer.

My first purchase from Chadwicks (for daughter's wedding) and I am very pleased. Wear a 10, ordered a 10, and it fits me like a dream. I like the simplicity of the design and how it makes me feel(and look) tall and lean. Didn't look so good coming out of the bag but a professional pressing made all the difference in the world. The color (avocado) is rich and saturated, the fabric no different from other moderately priced silks, and the skirt moves beautifully. Very good buy for the money.

I gave it 4 stars because it is truly a gorgeous gown. BUT, it is definately not true to size. I am a size 8 in all my clothes, and I'm actually losing weight so I'm heading toward a size 6 now. I had to buy the size 10 but only after I tried an 8, 10, and 12! I guess that's the down side of buying online, but this was really inconvenient to deal with. I would recommend this, but I would order a size or two up.

I bought this to wear to my daughters wedding in June. I love this dress. It fits me perfectly. I also ordered it in the shorter length and haven't yet decided which I'll wear. Either way, it looks great! The only drawback is that the underneath material shows through the top, lighter weight layer in a few places making it look like you forgot to iron it even though the underneath layer isn't wrinkled. It's not extremely noticable but might bother some people.
