I searched the web for the past two years for a classic navy peacoat.[...]It fits well,it is a true navy,not a lighter blue,or one so dark it looks black.Having to wear a petite size,I thought the sleeves are slightly too long,not too bad,but not perfect.This is a problem when I buy anything with sleeves. Usually the petite sizes have properly proportioned sleeves.Still,it's not enough for me to return it,as good ones that fit right and look good are hard to find.

I expected that this would be a winter coat, and feel that it will keep me warm in fall and spring, but not winters in New York State. I was excited to get this coat. I'm short and slender so I thought petite would be perfect. I was wrong. The sleeves and jacket were an odd lenghth and it was very wide from the shoulders down. I looked like a box. Also they sewed two different size buttons on the back. I was very surprised and dissappointed.

I love this peacoat - especially since I bought the plaid one. It goes with 3 different colors of slacks. The only thing I'm going to do to change it is to set the buttons over as it's a little roomy for me in the chest. But I'm small there so it would fit most women just fine.

I was a little dissapointed in this coat. I ordered a petite sz 16 and the sleeves were so long, too long as a matter of fact and the jacket is not a coat, it's a short jacket. In the picture it shows this jacket being much longer then it really is, it's very short. It's pretty much true to size. You have to wear a scarf with this jacket because it's very scratchy around the neck. This jacket is deffinetly not what I expected, but for the price I'll keep it and wear it when I do my errands. SORRY.....

I exchanged it for a size smaller, and it's still too big in the shoulder seam and waist. I can't go any smaller, or I won't be able to move my arms. I love the color though, and do wear it a lot.

Wow, what a deal! I'm glad I made the purchase. I actually got two coats for less than the price of one. The color on the camel coat is excellent. I wish the color on the chocolate coat was a litter richer, but I still love it.

The outer fabric and the lining feel like quality materials. The pockets are nice and deep. It is perhaps a tad bit more fitted than I anticipated. But all in all, I think this is a good jacket for a good price.

This is a great coat for the price. I am very petite and have a hard time finding coats that fit me in length as well as size. I ordered a 2 and it is only slightly big around the waist. You could view that as extra room for bulky sweaters and stuff though. Definately not complaining. I would buy it again, maybe even in another color.

Great looking jacket for SF Bay area--where we have cooler climates but never too cold. It looks good on, true to fit--I generally have hard time fitting my body, which is petite but thick wasted. This coat fits perfectly. I ordered 12P to give me enough room for a thick sweater underneath but when I just have a shirt, it's quite roomy. If you tend to wear your jackets open, then you could go with a more fitted size. I bought the chocolate brown--it looks great with jeans or with nice pants.
Nice lightweight if you plan to travel/fly. I suspect it wouldn't be warm enough for really cold, NE winters but perfect for Fall.

This coat is a full cut, even though it says that it is "shaped" it isn't. I bought a 2 petite and it was too small and too wide. I bought a 4 regular and it was just right, but way too wide. The double breasted cut just made it worse. Good idea but not well executed. I will be looking for something else single breasted.

This is the second peacoat (different color)that I have bought from Chadwick's. I live in a cold state so fashionable coats are an essential part of my wardrobe. My husband who rarely comments on what I wear, has mentioned several times that he likes that style on me. The only thing that I would change about it is to reduce the shoulder padding slightly. It needs some padding just not extended out on the shoulder quite so much. Also, to freshen up the style for next year, you could add side tabs and extra buttons to adjust. Many women are now looking for clothes that fit closely to the body.

She needed a dressy, yet casual coat that was in between her long wool dressy coat and her casual everyday hooded squall jacket. I have been looking for two seasons for a casual coat and this one is great. Classic design that has a lasting quality which is important to me since I'm in the Coastal South where coats last forever since we only need them for a couple of months at most. I am normally a size 4 petite and bought a 6 petite with the idea of wearing sweaters comfortably under the coat and the fit was perfect. The sleeves where a great length something hard to find even in a petite and I don't get "lost" in this coat. Price was outstanding as I was able to use my 50 % off coupon at the end of the season.

The coat was properly proportioned. For those of you who wear size petite, I think you'll understand what I mean. Size petite is about more than just shortening the overall length of an item; it's about proportion. In other words, it is possible to have a petite-sized top that is tunic length. This coat is true to size.
I just am looking for something that hits at low hip while maintaining the waist at the same height. It is very hard to find tunic-length tops & coats in size petite, & I would encourage you to suggest it to Chadwicks if you're looking for the same thing. It may be that there are very few people with petite-sized torsos who want long tops & coats.

Fabric has soft feel, is on the lightweight side. Would have liked it more if there was more of a shape to the waist area and if it were slightly longer, but shoulders and sleeves fit well for a petite size. It does the job.

This is the first wool coat that I have come across to fit perfect. Being on the petite side I never found the perfect fit until now. Plus it is stylish and warm. Dress it up or go casual.

I liked the color and the thickness of the coat. The coat is fully lined which is nice, and the buttons are nice and big. The only thing negative I would have to say about it, is that the shoulders are a bit broad. Also got it in petite size which is hard to come by in coats!

I love this coat so much, that I also purchased it in the same color only full length. I live in the San Fernando Valley, but during the winter months it gets cold enough for a full length at night and the Peacoat during the day. I am 73yrs old and remember the Peacoat from my teen years. Can't rave enough about it!!!

It was a true to size Petite 10. The only complaint is that I wish the wool was a little softer because I have to wear a scarf to not irritate my neck.
Also the coat is a little shorter than I thought it would be but still good for casual wear.

I like the traditional look of a peacoat and feel the design was very well done. Enjoyed having nontraditional colors available and have gotten compliments upon that. Do feel that the buttons are a bit cheap looking /not sure what should have been chosen and certainly the buttons are better than shiny gold buttons - the coat price was a selling point.

This coat was purchased for my high school daughter so she could have a "nice" coat. It looks very nice on her, giving her a more put together look than a ski jacket. It fits a little large, as she normally wears a 7 junior and we bought a 6 petite, and it's a little loose. I would definitely recommend this coat!

I wanted a warm jacket to wear especially when I'm taking a long drive, because my long coat is too bulky and uncomfortable in the car. This jacket is exactly what I needed.
