I'm generally a size 14 (usu roomy) or a snug size 12. I purchased these pants in 14 and they are *very* snug. So keep in mind - the size definitely runs small.

I was looking forward to these pants but to be safe, i ordered them a size bigger than I normally wear. I have been surprised by the cut in Petite pants at times. Still, however, they are cut way too tight in the rear! I expected them to be a bit looser due to the cut but they are not. The petite sizes are cut way too small - just because someone is petite, doesn't mean they don't have curves.
