I wore the navy blue shade of this dress for my son's outdoor wedding. The temperature was in the low 80's and I was bit warm but not uncomfortably so. I did have the dress shortened to mid-calf and found it to be very comfortable at that length. I received numerous compliments on how beautiful and flattering the dress was. It definitely runs big. I ordered a size smaller than I normally wear and it was still too big in the waist area so I did have it altered slightly. Very pleased especially when my son told me I looked beautiful!

The dress is beautiful! I ordered 1 size smaller as others suggested but ended up returning it. I needed to go down by 2 sizes. It took quite a while after my item was returned before I received a refund. My major complaint is that this is an almost $200 dress and it's shipped in a plastic bag!? How about a box people?

I ordered this dress for my son's wedding which will be March 09' in Colorado. It fits really well and the navy blue color is just gorgeous.

I bought this gown for a charity gala I attend every year. It is a long evening. This dress is comfortable and a classic style that I will actually be able to wear again. I can't say enough good things about it! It is so flattering, too. Covers what it should and shows off what it should! And looks great on the dance floor, too!

This really is a lovely gown; however I have to send it back because it's just too large in the shoulder area and under the arms. It's just a funky fit on me, but shouldn't detract other buyers from ordering it. I recommend ordering it one size smaller than your ususal size.

I ordered this dress for my daughters wedding. Although the dress is very pretty, the color did not work well for me. Also I had to reorder in a larger size as the top is very heavy and the zipper did not lay flat. Dress fits a little tighter at the top than I would expect. I did reorder in a larger size but decided on a different dress because of the coloring.

This is a beautiful gown and I wore it at my wedding. I recieved many compliments. The only con was that it is a hot dress (I got married June 28th) and some of the beads came off just from rubbing against the back of the seat of the car. I will wear it again for a special occasion.

The weight of the bodice of the dress makes it hang nicely on the torso. It would be a hot dress in warm outdoor weather, but is fine in cooler temps or air conditioned areas.
I agree that the celery color was closer to sage, but that is what I wanted.

I was going to use this dress as the mother of the groom. However if it weren't for the spot on the dress. I think that I would have worn this dress for that affair.

I relied on previous reviewers before I purchased this dress for my son's wedding and was quite pleased with it. It does run a bit large at the top and does weigh a bit heavier with the designs on the top although I didn't find it a problem. I was hesitant on this purchase since his outside wedding was the first week of August (in Texas), but it wasn't too hot to wear for the length of time we were outside. There were no imperfections with the beads stitched on the dress - I loved how they sparkled with the lights! Although the bottom of the dress did appear a shade darker than the top I liked how the bottom of the gown resisted wrinkles when I wore it.
I received many compliments while wearing it and felt like a 52 year old princess in this dress!!

The dress was beautiful, but was large in the waist and bust for me. I probably should have ordered it in a smaller size. Because I needed it quickly for an out-of-town wedding, I did not have time to exchange it for a smaller size.

Bought this for my son's wedding but had to return it because it runs really large. I should have ordered a whole size smaller than I normally wear. And although it was very pretty, it was also very heavy. The beading on the top adds "weight" to the dress. Might be to hot for a spring or summer event.

Top of dress a little heavy due to beading. Also in picture sleeves look 3/4 length, but when I received and tried on they were long sleeves.

This dress is for my step-daughters wedding at the beach in October. I tried the dress on as soon as I received it and it fit like a glove. I'm kind of thick through my middle and it hides a multitude of sins! Very comfy - glides right over my figure and the bottom leaves plenty of room for dancing at the reception!

My purchases came even earlier than I expected, which was great because I wanted to make sure if I had any exchanges they could be done in a timely fashion. My daughter's wedding is in September, so the color is perfect and the fit was even better. This wasn't my first transaction with Chadwicks and won't be my last. Have a vacation planned in October! I bought this dress for my son's wedding and I fell in love with it when I saw it. The picture doesn't do it justice. The beaded top was beautiful and I received so many compliments on it. It is very slimming and so comfortable. I was dreading a long day in a dress and heels, but this dress was flowy and so easy to move in. I can't say enough about it. Dress was very flattering for my plus size frame and would recommend ordering a size smaller than your regular size. The color is slightly muted/lighter than I expected. It's very comfortable and fit perfect until I lost weight quicker than could exchange for another smaller size before my son's wedding.

I wore the dress to my daughter's wedding. I had ordered a dress from a bridal shop and it came damaged, the re-order never came. A friend I work with ordered the dress and when it came I thought the dress was exceptional and received some many complements the day of wedding. I would/will order again

This dress was perfect for the evening wedding I attended. Only fault I found is that it didn't come in my size/petite. The dress was long and I had to have it shorted for my 5'1" frame. I got the green....and got many compliments.

I wore this gown for my son's wedding in Connecticut. I received many compliments for choosing it. It was comfortable and elegant.I have a difficult time finding clothes that fit well and look good on me. Chadwick's has excellent shipping and return procedures.Don't be shy about ordering it in different sizes to find the best fit - just be prompt about returning the one(s) you do not want. It worked for me.

I was very pleased when my mock-wrap dress finally arrived. It fit perfectly, is comfortable and slimming. The color was not quite what it appears on the website... I purchased the celery and it is more of a sage green. I liked the color but other buyers beware that all the colors must be darker than they appear. I will wear this to my son's wedding in late June and thank you Chadwick's for plus sizes!

I really loved the style of the dress,however I wanted it for a California wedding and i found that the top part of the dress is heavy with the sequins...wish it was lighter...had to return it...very flattering fit!

This dress is very attractive. I was very disappointed in the color. I ordered the pink dress. It appears to be beige when you put it on, it is only barely pink. Also the sizes run very large. IF the dress had fit I would have worn it to my son's wedding.
I had to return this dress. I liked the style - but the color was way off. The top of the dress looks beige - not pink. Also it runs large.

This dress is beautiful & very elegant. I would've liked the skirt even better in chiffon, but it's still lovely. If you're big busted, the bodice will be tight, tho' - it's lined.

I Purchased the dress to wear to my sons wedding in October. I did not find it to heavy as others have indicated. However, I am short waisted, and "pear" shaped, and the dress bunches at the waist on me. I am still deciding if I will have it altered or send it back and start looking at seperates. It is otherwise a beautiful dress, and very flattering. Falls nicely.

I ordered this product by size I usually wear, not by the size chart and it was too large. I did like the dress but it didn't fit although I feel if it would have fit it would have been a very flattering and comfortable dress.

To be "slimming" the bodice should have been longer. Beads feel from the bodice like rain.
Skirt moves beaurtifully.

I was very impressed when I received my dress. Unfortunately, it is too big. I will have to return it, and it is too late to order another. But, I have ordered alot from Chadwicks in the past, before I married. The size is not Chadwicks fault. I will be ordering again. Thank you.

I love this dress - unfortunately the one I received came in horrible condition. There was a hole in the shoulder, several beads missing from back with tears in the fabric (beads were not to be found in bag - so did it happen before shipping?), even scotch tape on hanger straps! I thought maybe this one had been worn and returned, but why wouldn't they check that before shipping!!! Disappointed to say the least! Will not reorder for fear of a repeat & getting too close to daughter's wedding day!
